Memento Mori: A Victorian Gothic-themed Art Show

Kittybell Gallery is seeking artwork for upcoming juried group exhibition Memento Mori. In the spirit of the Halloween season, this show is inspired by the Victorian Gothic era aesthetics and concept of death. Rather than inciting fear, death can be a source of inspiration and meditation. We are seeking the type of art which might adorn the walls of a vampire’s Victorian mansion. Subject matter includes: skulls, crows, dolls, eyes, roses, cats, owls, bones, potions, coffins, gravestones, gothic architecture, etc. We also accept work which has been repurposed or found, such as old photographs or jewelry. This exhibition is a curious exploration of death and gentle reminders of what lies beyond the otherside.

As we are a micro gallery, work must be sized no larger than 5x7” framed.
